Commitment to Racial Equity

Racism is pernicious and alive in our society at large and in the communities that we serve, live and work.

Extensive local research has shown that African Americans and other people of color in our community, among many other disparities, are less likely to graduate from high school, more likely to hold low-paying jobs, more likely to make less money than their white counter parts in any jobs held (even when accounting for education levels), more likely to experience poverty and housing instability, and more likely to have poor health outcomes.
