A COMMUNITY OF CHANGEMAKERS
We’ve improved the lives of more than half a million of our neighbors. With your help, we can do so much more.
We are urgently in need of service-oriented, computer savvy 2-1-1 Resource Navigators to help our community with basic needs, free tax assistance, and COVID-19 services. This is not your ordinary call center job! We hire dedicated, talented people with big hearts to handle customer inquiries by phone, text, chat, or email from individuals seeking assistance with human services information or resources. Visit our Careers page to apply or CLICK HERE to be redirected.
By supporting United Way’s Impact Fund, you help deliver critical assistance and change the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors by meeting basic needs, moving toward financial stability and building success in school and life.
Connecting people at times of crisis with immediate, essential human needs such as shelter, safety and food.
Helping working families and individuals overcome short-term instability and create a path to a more financially secure future.
Addressing disparities in educational opportunities from early childhood through school years and helping young people become successful adults.
Getting quality books into the hands of a young reader can help unlock a world of imagination and opportunity for them. Since we kicked off our Book Drive for Diversity 2023 on MLK Day, many caring people like you have contributed books from our curated list of titles, that focus on diversity including ethnicity, class, gender, physical abilities, race and work statuses.
On April 18 and 19, over 200 volunteers will join us at Acrisure Stadium to sort and pack over 30,000 books that will then be distributed to children through schools, agency partners and early learning centers across Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Fayette and Westmoreland counties.
In her 42 years at United Way, Margie Solochier has seen many things change but one thing remains the same…United Way’s positive impact on people in southwestern PA.
As Regional Manager of Management Accounting and Westmoreland Operations, she assists with budgeting processes, audit preparation, grant reporting for the Westmoreland office, equipment and building leases.
